Due to overwhelming demand Midnight Oil’s show at the Commodore Ballroom on Friday June 2 has been moved to the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park on the same night. The band’s decision to move the show to a larger venue follows a deluge of emails and postings from disappointed B.C. fans who missed out when tickets sold out in minutes before reappearing on reseller sites for over $500 each.

Despite an absence of 15 years the band’s entire North American tour sold out within hours proving the deep and abiding connection Midnight Oil built with their fans through so many extraordinary gigs during the 1980’s and 90’s.

Fans who have already purchased tickets for the Commodore Ballroom show are advised that their existing tickets will be accepted at the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park on Friday June 2. For those unable to attend the show at the new venue, requests for a refund can be made from point of purchase until March 31.

Fans wishing to buy tickets to attend the show at the new venue, Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park on Friday June 2, can participate in a fan pre-sale from 10am PST/EST on Wednesday March 8. Members of the Midnight Oil mailing list will be sent a newsletter with the password and link on the evening prior to pre-sale commencing. Members of the general public will have access to any remaining tickets from 10am Thursday PST/EST via www.midnightoil.com/tour-dates.

Midnight Oil has today announced an additional concert in London at the iconic Hammersmith Eventim Apollo. The band hope this additional supply of tickets in the market will reduce the ability of scalpers to unscrupulously profit from the passion of Midnight Oil fans.

The new concert will take place on Sun 23 July. Tickets to the new London concert will be on sale from 12:00pm (London time) Thu 2 Mar.

In a measure to put tickets into the hands of fans rather than scalpers, Midnight Oil has today announced additional concerts in Melbourne and Sydney. The band hope this additional supply of tickets in the market will reduce the ability of scalpers to unscrupulously profit from the passion of Midnight Oil fans.

The new concerts will take place in Melbourne on Wed 8 Nov at Sidney Myer Music Bowl and in Sydney on Fri 17 Nov at The Domain.

Pre-sale tickets to the new Melbourne and Sydney concerts will be available to Midnight Oil fans who have signed up to the band’s newsletter from 1:00pm AEDT on Mon 6 Mar for 24 hours (or ends earlier if pre-sale allocation is exhausted). Those who missed out on tickets to the Sunshine Coast show at Big Pineapple Fields on Saturday 14 October will be thrilled to hear that extra tickets have just been released and are on sale now.

To allow for the additional Melbourne show Midnight Oil’s performance at Wollongong’s WIN Entertainment Centre (originally scheduled to take place on Wed 8 Nov) will now take place on Mon 13 Nov at WIN Entertainment Centre. Midnight Oil and Frontier Touring appreciate the understanding of Midnight Oil fans on the necessity of the date change. Ticketholders who are able to attend the rescheduled show date need take no further action; their existing ticket will be valid for the new date and their location within the venue remains unchanged.

Ticketholders who can no longer attend the rescheduled Wollongong date are asked to seek a full refund by 5pm AEDT Friday 31 March 2017 via the show’s official ticketing agency, Ticketmaster – ticketmaster.com.au ph: 136 100.
